Volleyball Recap: Glencoe's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Glencoe entered their tilt with Kate Duncan Smith DAR on Saturday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Patriots. This was a revenge game for the Yellowjackets: when they faced off against the Patriots back in September, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Glencoe got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 20-25, 15-10.

Mia Talbot paced Glencoe's offense, picking up ten kills. Talbot got some help from Kinlee Montgomery and her ten assists. Finally, Millie Chambless kept Glencoe's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.

Glencoe's win bumped their record up to 30-14. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, their defeat dropped their record down to 30-23.

Glencoe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Pleasant Valley on the 11th. As for Kate Duncan Smith DAR, they will take on Madison County at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
