It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Western Reserve had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 46-30 win over the Mathews Mustangs. The victory was familiar territory for the Blue Devils, who have now won three contests in a row.

Western Reserve's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Mathews, their loss dropped their record down to 18-6.

Looking ahead, Western Reserve will square off against Cornerstone Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Cornerstone Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 18 matches. Mathews does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
