Softball Recap: St. Ignace Takes a Loss

After soaring to 13 runs the game before, St. Ignace was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They came up short against the Manistique Emeralds, falling 15-1. The game marked the Saints' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

St. Ignace saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maggie Massey, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for St. Ignace and nudges their season record down to 4-7. As for Manistique, they moved to 6-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

While St. Ignace had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
