Volleyball Recap: Estacado Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Estacado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Friona Chieftans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Matadors have suffered since August 12th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-21.

Addison Thomas paced Estacado's offense, picking up four kills. Thomas got some help from London Burrell and her nine assists.

Estacado's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Friona, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-10.

Estacado and Friona could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Matadors will challenge Seminole at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (930 vs. 254). Meanwhile, Friona (ranked 536th) will meet Denver City (ranked 239th) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
