Volleyball Recap: West Central Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kyra Leman and Ellyse Sparks

If West Central was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Argos on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans fell 3-1 to the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays on Tuesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Bluejays: they've now lost five in a row.

West Central started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-23, 25-12, 25-21.

West Central's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Ellyse Sparks, who had 16 digs, and Kyra Leman, who had nine digs.

West Central now has a losing record of 11-12. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 15-15.

West Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against North Newton on the 9th. North Judson-San Pierre has also already played their next match (against Hebron), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
