Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mott). They were the clear victors by a 10-1 margin over the Ferndale Eagles on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Corsairs needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Mott's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Ferndale, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Mott will venture away from home to square off against South Lyon East at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ferndale, they will welcome Harper Woods at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pioneers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.6 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
