Softball Game Preview: Santa Fe Chiefs vs. Cajon Cowboys

The Santa Fe Chiefs will challenge the Cajon Cowboys at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Santa Fe is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.

Santa Fe lost 7-1 to California on Tuesday.

Sophia Garcia made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Jazmine Pacheco also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Cajon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Redlands East Valley on Thursday. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by six runs or more this season.

Cajon's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Fe, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
