Football Game Preview: Lebanon Yellowjackets vs. Kickapoo Chiefs

The Lebanon Yellowjackets will take on the Kickapoo Chiefs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Lebanon's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Kickapoo has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Lebanon is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They breezed past Ozark to the tune of 56-28 on Friday. The team's explosion on offense also rewarded the Yellowjackets with their most commanding win of the season.

Brayden Christian was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 125 yards and three scores. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Beckett York, who rushed for 73 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Kickapoo played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 56-7 defeat at the hands of Nixa. The Chiefs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-7.

Kickapoo's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Lebanon, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Everything came up roses for Lebanon against Kickapoo when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 49-21 win. In that matchup, the Yellowjackets amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
