Volleyball Recap: Kettle Moraine Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Kettle Moraine rose to the challenge on Thursday. They came out on top against the Beaver Dam Golden Beavers by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lasers.

The win didn't come easy: Beaver Dam scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 27-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-21.

Kettle Moraine found their leader in freshman Stella Wilson, who had ten digs, four aces, and one block. Wilson also set a new season-high mark in assists with 45.

Kettle Moraine was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups.

Kettle Moraine's victory bumped their record up to 15-21. As for Beaver Dam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 19-22.

Looking ahead, Kettle Moraine will challenge Oconomowoc at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Beaver Dam does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
