Basketball Recap: East River Comes Up Short

After flying high against Astronaut last Thursday, East River came back down to earth. The East River Falcons took a 46-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Oviedo Lions on Monday. The contest marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cameron Bryant was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds for Oviedo. Another player making a difference was Antonio Contreras, who posted eight points.

Having lost for the first time this season, East River fell to 6-1. As for Oviedo, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

East River didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 38-29 win against Boone on the 11th. As for Oviedo, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-45 loss against Windermere Prep on the 10th.
