Carlsbad had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Trabuco Hills Mustangs.

Roman Payne paced Carlsbad's offense, picking up 17 kills. Payne got some help from Ben Sauerwine and his 33 assists. Nate Hedgecock controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Carlsbad's victory bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Trabuco Hills, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-13.

Carlsbad has already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Francis Parker on the 22nd. As for Trabuco Hills, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Burroughs on the 22nd.
