Baseball Recap: Mitchell Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Mitchell's offense. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Hernando Leopards, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Mitchell's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Hernando, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-10.

Coming up, Mitchell will challenge East Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 3.3, the Eagles 3.3) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hernando, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 7-4 defeat against Nature Coast Tech on the 11th.
