Softball Recap: Olympic Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Olympic, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. Everything went their way against the Bremerton Knights on Monday as Olympic made off with an 8-2 win. Considering the Trojans have won four contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Kennedy Haas, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Reagan Geier, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

Olympic hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bremerton struck out 13 times.

Olympic pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Bremerton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Olympic will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bremerton: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
