Softball Recap: Waldwick Now 6-1 over Last Seven Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Waldwick walked away with it. They never let the Pompton Lakes Cardinals get on the board and left with a 3-0 win on Friday. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

Waldwick is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Pompton Lakes, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 16-9.

As of now, neither Waldwick nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
