Basketball Recap: Spring-Ford Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Spring-Ford and Father Judge squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Spring-Ford had to settle for second. They took a hard 55-41 fall against the Father Judge Crusaders. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 58th, while the Crusaders are ranked first).

Spring-Ford moved to 22-9 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.3 points over those games. As for Father Judge, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Spring-Ford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Father Judge, they will face off against Hazleton Area on Saturday.
