River Oaks gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Briarfield Academy Rebels by a score of 22-14. The win was familiar territory for the Mustangs, who have now won 12 games in a row dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Briarfield Academy still got an impressive performance from Jack Woodall, who rushed for 23 yards and one TD, and also caught one touchdown.

River Oaks has already played their next match (against Riverfield Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Briarfield Academy, they will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Porter's Chapel Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
