Eaton dropped their record down to 11-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Valley View Spartans by a score of 8-7. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Spartans earlier this season, when they won 11-0.

Hannah Redick made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. Kaydence Cook was another key player, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

As for Valley View, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-10 and their overall record up to 6-15. That's two games straight that they have won by just one run.

On Valley View's side, the team relied heavily on Emily Woodward, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs Woodward has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Brelynn Riley, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Eaton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valley View, they will challenge Wilmington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
