Nueces Canyon had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 64-26 victory over the Lasara Lions. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 20 games by 23 points or more this season.

Nueces Canyon's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madison Sifuentes, who went 8 for 16 on her way to 22 points. Sifuentes is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as she's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Idrianna DeLeon, who went 6 of 11 to rack up 12 points along with seven steals and six rebounds.

Nueces Canyon is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 28-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.4 points over those games. As for Lasara, their loss dropped their record down to 10-15.
