Softball Recap: Wayne Pioneers vs. Point Pleasant Big Blacks
After flying high against Ripley on Tuesday, Wayne came back down to earth. The Pioneers fell 10-6 to the Point Pleasant Big Blacks on Wednesday. The defeat continues a trend for the Pioneers in their meetings with the Big Blacks: they've now lost four in a row.
Kaliah Merritt spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and six unearned) runs on ten hits. Those hits were her first of the season.
