Basketball Recap: Clover Garden School Takes a Loss

Clover Garden School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 52-42 to the Triangle Math & Science Tigers. If the Grizzlies were looking for revenge after losing 36-33 to them when the teams met back in February of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Clover Garden School still got an impressive performance from Hanna Tickle, who posted 29 points and five steals. That was a full 69% of Clover Garden School's points, marking the 21st time in a row she's scored more than a third of the team's points. Carly Little was another key player, putting up six points.

Triangle Math & Science got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noor Rana out in front who went 9-for-13 en route to 24 points. Rana is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Amritha Tatineni, who put up 12 points and six assists.

Clover Garden School's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Triangle Math & Science, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Clover Garden School didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 35-31 win against Woods Charter on the 12th. As for Triangle Math & Science, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 43-38 victory against Ascend Leadership on the 11th.
