Volleyball Recap: Yreka's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

After a string of four wins, Yreka's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Arcata Tigers. The Miners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2022.

Yreka couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Arcata a tough time in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 31-29, 25-16.

Yreka's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Arcata, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Yreka and Arcata will both be playing Orland the next time they take the court. The Tigers will host the Trojans at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Miners will host them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
