Queensbury strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They walked away with a 5-1 victory over the Broadalbin-Perth Patriots. Those five runs were actually the fewest the Spartans have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Davian Williams spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on one hit and racked up 15 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucas Rolleston, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Wolf, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Queensbury's win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average this season. As for Broadalbin-Perth, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 4-2.

Queensbury will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Patriots: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
