Softball Recap: City College Black Knights vs. Carver Vo-Tech Bears

City College took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Carver Vo-Tech Bears with a sharp 29-0 victory. The Black Knights have beaten the Bears the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Bears has come to flipping the script.

Brooklynn Murrell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Murrell was even better at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing seven bases while getting on base in four of her 11 plate appearances. Those seven stolen bases gave her a new career-high.
