Softball Recap: Marin Catholic Victorious

Marin Catholic won the last time they faced Redwood and things went their way on Friday too. The Wildcats walked away with an 8-3 victory over the Giants. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wildcats.

Malliah Foster spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Italia Tinnel, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one triple. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Carlson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Marin Catholic's win bumped their record up to 22-2-1. As for Redwood, the defeat snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 19-7 record.

As of now, neither Marin Catholic nor the Giants have any future games scheduled.
