Basketball Recap: Lawson O'hearn's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Prout over Times Squared Academy

Prout played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 98-76 to the Times Squared Academy Eagles. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lawson O'Hearn, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and 14 boards. O'Hearn's evening made it ten games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Horne, who posted 26 points.

Times Squared Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Steven Garcia, who put up 25 points. Garcia continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Justin Urey was another key player, putting up 24 points.

Prout's loss dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Times Squared Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Coming up, Prout will be playing at home against Providence Country Day at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Times Squared Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-52 win against Achievement First Providence on the 13th.
