Basketball Recap: Sam Lewis Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Kwigillingok

There's no place like home for Kongiganak, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They snuck past the Kwigillingok Eagles with a 75-71 win on Saturday. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 77-54 win last Friday.

Kongiganak's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sam Lewis, who posted 25 points. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Beaver, who earned 20 points.

Despite the loss, Kwigillingok still got an impressive performance from Caiden Nichols, who had 28 points. Nichols is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in each of the last six games he's played. James Brink was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Kongiganak has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points over those games. As for Kwigillingok, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

As of now, neither Kongiganak nor Kwigillingok have any future games scheduled.
