Football Recap: Ozark Takes a Loss

If Ozark was riding high fresh off their 71-0 takedown of Waynesville last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Tigers took a blow against the Lebanon Yellowjackets on Friday, falling 56-28. The Tigers were up 21-7 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Brayden Christian had a dynamite game For Lebanon., rushing for 125 yards and three touchdowns. Those 125 rushing yards gave Christian a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckett York, who rushed for 73 yards and one score.

Ozark's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Lebanon, they pushed their record up to 3-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Ozark will square off against rival Glendale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Lebanon is set to challenge their familiar foe Kickapoo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
