Basketball Game Preview: Clarksburg Coyotes vs. Paint Branch Panthers + How To Watch

The Clarksburg Coyotes are taking a road trip to challenge the Paint Branch Panthers at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Clarksburg has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the game with four straight defeats, while Paint Branch will come in with five straight wins.

On Friday, Clarksburg came up short against Urbana and fell 57-46.

Despite the loss, Clarksburg had strong showings from DB Hamlett, who went 7-for-14 to rack up 21 points, and Zion Carrie, who posted seven points and 13 rebounds.

While Paint Branch didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They took down Wheaton 83-69 on Friday.

Clarksburg better focus on containing Ryan Bobb and Alim Whyte-Sesay as the pair were huge in Paint Branch's win. Bobb dropped a double-double with 27 points and 12 boards, while Whyte-Sesay dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. With that strong performance, Bobb is now averaging an impressive 16.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Miles, who scored nine points in addition to five assists and four steals.

Clarksburg's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Paint Branch, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Clarksburg beat Paint Branch 65-56 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Do the Coyotes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
