Football Game Preview: Algona Bulldogs vs. Sioux Center Warriors

The Algona Bulldogs will square off against the Sioux Center Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Algona was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 28-23 to Humboldt. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Sioux Center strolled past Webster City with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 42-28.

Sioux Center pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games. As for Algona, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.

Algona came up short against Sioux Center when the teams last played back in October of 2023, falling 28-21. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, Solomon Tea (who rushed for 137 yards and a pair of scores) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
