Basketball Recap: Loganville Christian Academy Has No Trouble Against Mitchell

You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Loganville Christian Academy's strategy against Mitchell on Friday. The Loganville Christian Academy Lions blew past the Mitchell Mustangs 50-27. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 23 points or more this season.

Sanai Cyrus was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 12 boards. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Addi Petitt was another key player, going 5 for 10 on her way to 12 points and six rebounds.

Loganville Christian Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mitchell only racked up six assists.

Mitchell's loss came despite strong showings from Kaylana Little and Priya Jacob. Little posted six points in addition to six boards and five steals, while Jacob put up eight points and five rebounds.

Loganville Christian Academy's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-6. As for Mitchell, they moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their seven-game winning streak.

Loganville Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 47-42 victory against Glynn Academy on the 28th. As for Mitchell, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 63-12 loss against North Oconee on the 28th.
