Basketball Game Preview: Ocean View Christian Patriots vs. School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions

The Ocean View Christian Patriots will challenge the School for Entrepreneurship & Technology Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ocean View Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.

Last Thursday, Ocean View Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Liberty Charter, taking the game 38-30.

Ocean View Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tabi Channell, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Channell a new career-high in points. Montse Acosta was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, School for Entrepreneurship & Technology was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 38-34 to High Tech NC.

Ocean View Christian will have to contain Kameron Owens as she made an impact in School for Entrepreneurship & Technology's last game. She posted 16 points and seven rebounds. Owens is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 19 games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Anicka Redondo, who scored eight points.

Ocean View Christian's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-10. As for School for Entrepreneurship & Technology, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.

Ocean View Christian was taken down by School for Entrepreneurship & Technology 55-19 when the teams last played two weeks ago. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Ocean View Christian was down 27-6.
