Basketball Game Preview: Rancho Rams vs. Pine View Panthers

The Rancho Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Pine View Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Rancho's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.

On Wednesday, Rancho came up short against Shadow Ridge and fell 62-55. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 65th, while the Mustangs are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Pine View didn't have too much trouble with Cedar on Friday as they won 71-56. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Reds recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Pine View's win bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Rancho, their loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-14.

Rancho couldn't quite finish off Pine View in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 and fell 60-58. Can the Rams avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
