Basketball Recap: Strayhorn Comes Up Short

Strayhorn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the East Union Urchins, falling 76-15. The game marked the Mustangs' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Strayhorn's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for East Union, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, Strayhorn and East Union will both be playing Myrtle the next time they take the court. The Urchins will host the Hawks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will host them at 7:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026.
