Softball Recap: Canterbury Crusaders vs. Palatka Panthers

Canterbury was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 8-2 walloping at the hands of the Palatka Panthers.

Kaylah Berta was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. Berta has been consistent recently: she hasn't pitched less than six innings in three consecutive pitching appearances. Berta was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-2 with two RBI.

Berta wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tesscani Moore, who went 1-for-3 with a stolen base. Tayten Moore was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
