Softball Recap: Layton Comes Up Short

Layton lost against Fremont back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Lancers took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Silverwolves.

Olivia Woodall was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Layton's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Fremont, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-11 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Layton will square off against rival Weber at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Lancers have lost six straight at home , while the Warriors have lost five on the road. Meanwhile, Fremont is set to challenge their familiar foe Farmington at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
