Basketball Recap: Butner Eagles vs. Graham/Dustin RiverHawk

Butner extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 15 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-13. They came up short against the Graham/Dustin RiverHawk, falling 58-37. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the RiverHawk this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 54-52 back in November of 2025.

As for Graham/Dustin, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-10. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.7 points over those games.

It was another big night for Isaiah Stout, who went 9-for-22 to rack up 26 points along with eight boards and five steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in February of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Henry Bennett, who shot 42% from the field on his way to 10 points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Butner is set to square off against their familiar foe Midway at 6:00 p.m. on the 27th. Meanwhile, Graham/Dustin will take on rival Wetumka at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
