Teague had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They took a 55-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Whitney Wildcats on Thursday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2016.
When it comes to explaining why Teague lost, don't look at Brayden Leija. Despite the final result, he had 12 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zak Leija, who earned five points plus six assists and three steals.
Whitney now has a winning record of 3-2.
Teague wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 58-34 defeat against Palmer on the 6th. Whitney has also already played their next game, a 45-42 victory against Itasca on the 6th.
