Basketball Recap: Garland's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

There's no place like home for Garland, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the North Garland Raiders by a score of 34-26 on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Owls as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Despite the loss, North Garland had strong showings from Alaa Al Mzayen, who posted five points and three steals, and Marhiana Hughes, who went 5 of 10 on her way to 10 points.

Garland's win bumped their record up to 12-17. As for North Garland, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-19 record this season.

As of now, neither Garland nor North Garland have any future games scheduled.
