On Saturday St. Thomas More's undefeated season almost came to an end. They had just enough and edged out the Beaver Dam Golden Beavers 3-1. For the Cavaliers, this counts as revenge for the 10-2 win the Golden Beavers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Evan Weckman tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Julian Stelloh, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Weist, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

St. Thomas More's victory bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Beaver Dam, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. St. Thomas More will take on St. Joseph on Tuesday. As for Beaver Dam, they will venture away from home to challenge DeForest at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Golden Beavers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
