Sadie Olson leads a balanced attack to beat Roxboro Community

Recap: Eno River Bobcats vs. Roxboro Community Bulldogs

The Eno River Bobcats entered their tilt with the Roxboro Community Bulldogs with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Eno River skirted past Roxboro Community 49-47. Winning is a bit easier when you work as a team to rack up seven more assists than your opponent, as Eno River did.

Eno River's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sadie Olson led the charge by scoring 21 points along with five rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Olson has scored all season. Ava Hill was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with five rebounds and two blocks.

Despite the defeat, Roxboro Community had strong showings from Karrie Obie, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds, and Katherine-kaey "katie" Mann, who scored 20 points. Obie hasn't dropped below 11 rebounds for four straight games.

Eno River has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Roxboro Community, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eno River will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Clover Garden School at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Eno River focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Tuesday. As for Roxboro Community, they will head out on the road to challenge Excelsior Classical Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
