It was a good run, but Castleford unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-match winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Carey Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Carey scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 20-25, 25-19, 25-20.

Castleford's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Carey, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Looking ahead, Castleford will face off against Lighthouse Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Carey does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
