Baseball Game Preview: Jefferson-Morgan Rockets vs. Avella Eagles

For the second straight game, Jefferson-Morgan will face off against Avella. The Rockets will take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Jefferson-Morgan's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Avella's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Jefferson-Morgan's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Avella by a score of 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rockets.

The result came thanks to Drew Adams's shutout, as he gave up just five hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Jefferson-Morgan is 2-1 when he allows at most two earned runs, but 1-2 otherwise.

At the plate, Jaymison Robinson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Brayden Ellsworth, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The victory got Jefferson-Morgan back to even at 3-3. As for Avella, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 8-1.
