The Gooding Senators are taking a road trip to challenge the Middleton Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Gooding is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on McCall-Donnelly with a sharp 25-1 victory on Friday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Senators with their most commanding win of the season.

Olivia Rogers and Jaelynn Patton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Rogers pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Patton struck out six batters over two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). At bat, Rogers scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Patton scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Those four runs gave Patton a new career-high.
In other batting news, Emma Day was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, seven RBI, and three runs. Those seven RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kodi Garza, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Gooding was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .350 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, Middleton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Sugar-Salem a 16-0 shutout. The Vikings might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six runs or more this season.
Luckie Grenke was a standout: she scored three runs while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Natalie Miklancic, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.
Middleton pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.8 runs on average over those games. As for Gooding, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Gooding hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Middleton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.9 home runs.
