Baseball Recap: Parkway South's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Parkway South had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Jackson Fighting Indians 3-1. The win was nothing new for the Patriots as they're now sitting on four straight.

Corwin Plank looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since May 2nd.

At the plate, Parkway South saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordan Schneider, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Parkway South's victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Jackson, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 24-14 record.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Parkway South beat the Fighting Indians by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.
