Football Recap: Sundown Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Sundown and Wink squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Sundown had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Wildcats 40-12. The Roughnecks haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Layne Lusby had an outrageously good game for Wink as he threw for 158 yards and three TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also rushed for 68 yards on only eight carries. That's the most passing touchdowns Lusby has posted since back in November of 2024. Cayton Noyola also helped out as he racked up 118 receiving yards.

Sundown's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Wink, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

As of now, neither Sundown nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
