Basketball Recap: Saucon Valley Drops Season-High Score on Lehighton

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Saucon Valley). They walked away with a 62-54 win over the Lehighton Indians on Tuesday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Panthers' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 283rd, while the Indians are ranked 129th).

Jack Robertson was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 23 points, 13 rebounds, and nine assists. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 boards per game. Another player making a difference was Adam Clark, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.

The win was the fifth in a row for Saucon Valley, bringing their record for this year to 10-4. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Lehighton, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Saucon Valley will welcome Northern Lehigh at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. As for Lehighton, they will host Northwestern Lehigh at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
