Basketball Recap: McDaniel Takes a Loss

If McDaniel was riding high fresh off their 56-25 takedown of Churchill last Sunday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The McDaniel Mountain Lions took a 29-24 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newberg Tigers. The Mountain Lions have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

McDaniel's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Newberg, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-4 record this season.

McDaniel will head out on the road to face off against Putnam at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Newberg, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on McNary at 7:15 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
