Volleyball Game Preview: Arlington Spy Ponders vs. Belmont Marauders

The Arlington Spy Ponders will challenge the Belmont Marauders at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. Arlington will be strutting in after a victory while Belmont will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Arlington got the win against Burlington by a conclusive 3-0. The Spy Ponders haven't had any issues with the Red Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

While Arlington won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-15, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Belmont came up short against Lexington on Wednesday, falling 3-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Marauders in their meetings with the Minutemen: they've now lost four in a row.

While Belmont was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Lexington's winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-13, 25-20.

Arlington's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for Belmont, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.

Arlington beat Belmont 3-1 in their previous matchup back in April. Will the Spy Ponders repeat their success, or do the Marauders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
