Recap: Columbia Independent vs. Prairie Home Panthers
Columbia Independent's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their sixth straight loss. They were beaten by Prairie Home 65-33. While losing is never fun, Columbia Independent can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 516th, while Prairie Home is ranked 248th).
Columbia Independent's loss came despite strong showings from Blake Morris and Deolu Adibiyi. Morris scored 11 points along with seven rebounds, while Adibiyi scored 11 points along with two steals. Adibiyi has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played.
Columbia Independent dropped their record down to 6-11 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Prairie Home, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 17-6.
Columbia Independent didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 51-41 win vs. Keytesville on the 8th. Prairie Home has also already played their next match, a 74-54 win against Jamestown on the 9th.
