Basketball Recap: Hume Takes a Loss

Hume was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Harrisonville Wildcats, falling 90-39. The Hornets lost against the Wildcats in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 76-51 score last time.

Hume's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Harrisonville, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Hume will face off against Drexel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harrisonville, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Harrisonville Wildcats duke it out with the Warrensburg Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on February 4th. Harrisonville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Warrensburg likes a good challenge.
